Just checked out the blog. Thats a great idea to use the bracket in the voting! The bio was very well put. I think the steer speaks for himself in what I try to accomplish each breeding season. Let the March Madness begin!

Hey matt. Paul Grace here.look what I found. She is a monopoly x sparkles. That’s the wmw hfr that Scott Losings daughter won the SD state fair and her div in louisville with. She was in the replacement hfr lot just waiting to be clipped. Talk about world class show hfrs…. wow! Can u send me some i80 semen quick? I want her bred early for the fall shows. Thanks

We hope everyone enjoys this NCAAA Bracket Style Vote Off Of 8 Selected Breeders. There will be no losers in this friendly competitiion, every one of them should be proud of the outstanding cattle they have produced that have been the standard to which other calves were measured in this past year. Voting criteria can vary from person to person, maybe one of the calves raised by one of the breeders below was your favorite at a prospect/market show you went to in the last year, or possibly the best pictured steer/heifer you have seen in a magazine or on the internet. However you decide to cast your vote is 100% up to you. Here is the rough draft of the Bracket and breeder bio’s. There are a few typos, we would appreciate anyone taking time to send in an email to mattlautner@hotmail.com to voice your corrections. Voting will be held this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

Matt,
Setup looks good. Explanation on voting criteria sounds real good. Bios are all nice and unbiased. Here’s a couple minor typos I found. Otherwise all looks good! > > Schultz- $37,000 steer was Monopoly x Honey (Lut x Meyer) >
Staley -capitalize December
Williams – get rid of the “a” before two
Young- capitalize Grand Champion
Maybe get rid of “in” before across the country.
