*Evie’s Story*
On February 28th, 2018, Evie Kahnke, the 17 year-old daughter of Chad & Hollie Kahnke of Florence, South Dakota was diagnosed with Acute Myloid Luekima.
Evie was an all-around athlete that was very active in rodeo, volleyball, basketball, and track for many years, also participating in FFA and 4-H. She excelled in all and had many accomplishments in her life.
When not competing, you could find her helping on the family ranch; riding her horses & helping with the cattle alongside her sister Emily and brother Charlie. Her love for animals & livestock especially was so abundant.
Evie was an intelligent, faithful & optomisitc young lady with lots of grit. For three months she recieved chemotherapy at the Sanford Children’s Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota before she was joined with the Lord on May 28th, 2018.
The Scholarship in Evie’s memory will be given to someone who is considered to be an well rounded person that not only does sports but is very active in leadership activities and agriculture as well.
