Lot 1 Heifer
Sire: One In The Chamber
Dam: Simmi
Birthdate: March
Breed: Commercial
Comments:

Here I am, the Iowa State Fair & Nebraska State Fair champion that has generated so much attention in the last few weeks!

One In The Chamber calves had us excited last spring but we are even more excited with their positive development over the summer. As many of you can remember from Denver 2015, One In The Chamber is the cow changing, burly type bull that you can breed to flatter muscled cows and still get powerful steers and heifers.

Even the “structure aficionados” like Kendall Bremer & Willie Weis can appreciate this heifer’s flawless design and freedom of movement.  Be a part of the excitement around the rookie calf crop of One In The Chamber, own her on sale night!

Keaton Krieg Dominant Breed Steer From 2015/2016 | Purchased At MLC
Lot 2 Steer
Sire: Italian Stallon
Dam: Purebred Shorthorn
Birthdate: March
Breed: Registered Shorthorn Plus
Comments:

Lot 2 Italian Stallion steer is one of the best Shorthorn Plus steers in the country, good enough to show as a Crossbred just like Keaton Krieg’s Simmental steer in 2015/2016!

Italian Stallion steers are quickly gaining a reputation to feed similar to yellow topped heat wave steers from the early 2000’s.

This point is best illustrated by Abi Henderson’s 2 Italian Stallion steers and 1 Italian Stallion heifer from the 2016 show season. Starting in May Abi’s Italian Stallion calves went on a 12 show winning streak. Those calves all started good but either stayed good or became extraordinary as they reached market weights. We expect Italian Stallion to redefine what most cattle feeders think of when they think of MAB line of genetics: better at the end than the beginning.

Lot 3 Steer
Sire: Monopoly 4
Dam: Heat Wave
Birthdate: April
Breed: Chi
Comments:

More state fair steer champions in 2016 were sired by Monopoly than all other sires combined! A little younger steer that would be perfect to feed for a fall show. We like the Monopoly x Heat Wave cross. This steer has a lot of shape and width of top. He looks like the type that is going to be really tough to beat as a fat steer.

Lot 4 Heifer
Sire: One In The Chamber
Dam: Chi/Cross
Birthdate: February

Comments:

A really long necked and big square hipped heifer that is slightly greener in her body condition. We could see this heifer going on and winning just about any county fair in the state of Iowa next summer. Extra docile personality, a female that is first year 4-H’er friendly.

Lot 5 Steer
Sire: I-80
Dam: Heat Wave
Birthdate: March
Breed: Maine Anjou
Comments:

A big burly steer that can still move with extreme freedom of movement. He reminds us of Gracie Russell powerful steer from the Iowa State Fair in August. The calf was cut in July after his TH test came back, he is one that is big & powerful enough to have made a bull. Give him 30 more days and he will have his shaggy Canadian hair coat back!

Paternal Sib To Lot 8 Heifer | Sired By Texas Tornado

Lot 8 Heifer
Sire: Texas Tornado
Dam: Shorthorn Cross
Birthdate: April
Breed: Commercial
Comments:

A really stout made heifer that reminds us a lot of her popular sire Texas Tornado. A paternal sib to Keaton Otto steer that is headed to the American Royal in October. A big backed blue roan female that should probably be fed for the market heifer division, she also has a really friendly personality and is first year 4-H’er gentle.
