Hi Matt, every state in Australia has one royal show a year and alot of small county shows also. In western Australia charolais would be the most popular breed shown. Followed by Angus and Simmental. I would say, every state is different though. Angus and Charolais are very popular. In Queensland Brahman, Droughtmaster etc are more common due to the climate. In Western Australia we have Dexters, Lowline une square meters and mini herefords, dexters would be the most popular. I have not been to the Melbourne Royal yet so not sure what it is like. I am always busy with my show team as our show is almost that same time. Speckle Park would be the newest breed over here! If you have any more question let me know!!
